Victorian Fireplace

We are trying to restore as many period features as possible without blowing the budget, so we were pretty happy when we found this original Victorian fireplace in my Dad’s storage garage, which will fit perfectly in bedroom 1. The storage garage is mainly full of ikea furniture and random sofa’s so this was a pleasant surprise. It needs quite a bit of work to restore it to it’s former glory and reveal the detail of the mouldings, but it was free so we can’t complain. I will post a picture of it when it is full stripped with some more detailed shots of the mouldings.

As you can see I have had a go at the bottom right corner – it may take a while…
